Dress Code

Toddler and Children’s  Classes

Dance-wear

     •     Leotard - Any color/style

     •     Tights - Pink, White, or Tan (Footed or Convertible).

     •     Skirts - Pull on or attached to leotard. - Optional

     •     Ballet Wrap Sweaters - Optional

     •     Dancers wear tight as their underwear - please no panties.

     •     No t-shirts, pants, shorts, or wrap skirts for this level.

     •     You may purchase your dance-wear wherever you like.  

     •     For your convenience we do offer a line of leotard, skirts, tights and accessories.  

     •     Leotards, skirts, pants, shorts, tights and shoes are available by order on our dance-wear order form located in the waiting room.

     •     Toddler Sizes - Toddler sizes can be hard to find in local stores.  Toddler items are usually in stock in the office.

Dance Bag

Please supply your dancer with a designated dance bag to hold all dance shoes and other supplies.  Dancers will bring this bag with shoes into every class.  Dance bags may be a re-purposed bag, purchased new through En Avant or a local store.  Write your child's name on the inside of the bag.  

Hairstyle

Please secure hair neatly away from eyes and off of neck in a ponytail, bun or braid.  Headbands and clips are a great way to keep hair out of the eyes.

Shoes

     •     Shoes need to be purchased through En Avant.  The company we use (Revolution) is NOT available in local stores.  

     •     Fittings and Orders - Bring your dancer in to En Avant to be sized for shoes.  

     •     Appointments are not necessary during office hours.  

     •     Order early during the busy sign up season.

     •     Write your child’s initials on the inside arch of the shoe (inside the shoes.)

     •     If you do not have shoes for your first class wear socks on top of your tights to prevent slipping.

Dance-wear

Ballet Classes

          Leotard - Plain Black  leotard in Any style (Camisole, tank, short sleeve, etc.)

          Tights - Pink or White Tights (please no tan or black for ballet)

          Shoes - Revolution Stretch Ballet Shoes – Pink

          *Hair - Please keep hair secured in a bun with hairnet. No wispy ends to play with.

          *Headbands,bows and barrettes ARE allowed while hair is in a bun.

Hip Hop Classes

          Snug fitting tank /t-shirt with Shorts or dance pants. No hoodies or jackets or belly’s showing please.

Jazz  / Tap / Lyrical / Modern Classes

          Leotard - Any color/style

          Tights - Black, Tan, White, Pink
